What is LIT?
LIT is a production company that has pioneered a new way to consume bestselling non-fiction books with an immersive and engaging new format called videobooks. They work directly with top authors and award-winning filmmakers to distill the core ideas of each book into a documentary-like format that’s between 45mins to 2 hours long and typically include author interviews, data visualizations, animations, and live action content.
While I worked at LIT I was an animator and an Illustrator and spent most of my time creating assets for animation, such as characters, props, backgrounds, and concept art. Each videobook has a unique animation style, so I was constantly working in and creating a new visual language for each book which kept things interesting.
